The city of Southfield is currently in the Hampshire Woods Neighborhood making survey marks to identify the water mains that are scheduled for digup and replacement. The digging will occur mostly on the Northside of the streets. The start date for the digging to start  is currently not known but  be aware so can be prepared for the work upcoming.

Additional information has been received from the Scity of Southfield:

Hampshire Woods neighborhood is scheduled for water main replacement and road repairs in 2025 which may possibly extend into 2026.  The city has also secured grant funding to build a 10’ shared use path on the south side of 9 Mile from Evergreen to the Southfield Service Drive, this is also expected to be constructed in 2025.  The pathway plan will have the biggest impact on where the proposed sign can be installed. Once these plans are nearing completion, they will be shared with HWNA. Unfortuantely, Any new sign installation will need to be delayed until these projects are complete. Delaying the signage will allow additional time for planning, seletion and purchase of signage. I plan to keep in touch with the city of Southfield and will keep the Hampshire Woods neigborhood updated ongoing as pathway plans are ready to share.
